Heh, today being September 19th (Talk Like a Pirate Day), I've been playing Sid Meier's Pirates in an effort to keep global warming down.
Apparently someone at Firaxis has a sense of humor, because all of a sudden, you see the menus, log entries, and most conversations speckled with phrases like "Avast!", "Arrr!", and "Shiver me timbers!" Including the Governors and their daughters.
*shakes head in amusement*
What's the coolest easter egg you've stumbled upon?

What's the coolest easter egg you've stumbled upon?apparently fallout has a few cool ones, tough i've not yet been able to stomach the old skool look to it. baldur's gate has a bunch, but i'd have to dig a bit to figure out my favs.

I think that this is in reference to the Flying Spaghetti Monster page that cites a correlation between the number of Pirates and Global warming, as the number of Pirates went down Global warming went up :P.
Anyways, The Buick in Star Wars: Rouge Leader II: Rogue Squadron is probably the best. Just flying along, dogfighting some ties, and boom, you see an old Buick floating around in space :D.

I'd be a card*-carrying Pastafarian if it would just hurry up and arrive in the mail already. ;)

Well, sort of. Sailors are generic-piraty, and vocalize accordingly. But the PC and townsfolk also behave appropriately for their rank and station. Since the PC is a gentleman volunteer raised to nobility (by virtue of his own deeds), the menu options, the PC's "pseudo-speech" and log entries are written in heroic prose. Likewise, the governors, daughters, and noble villians speak "noblese" gibberish.
So no, having "Arrs" and "Shiver me timbers!" sprinkled about the menu interface and governor's text is definitely eye-catching. Pretty slick, though.
