I just wondered, with all the engineers and astronomers, does anyone from NASA ever drop by to take advise from anyone here?

BTW has anyone heard from JayUtah recently?

He has posted yesterday, I believe, in the conspiracy forum.

Course they do. Dr. Griffin emailed me the other day, asking for my opinion on the new Moon plans. I havenīt taken the time to respond, though... :liar:

Careful. That could play into the hands of those that think we are all Gubmint Agents.

I for one am a Private Agent, . . . a Very Secret Private Agent, . . . and am licensed to Babble.

I need a licence to Babble! Oh gosh, I never got my license. I hope one of those Language Police Officers doesn't pull me over!
No officer, honestly, I wasn't babbling, those were all coherent sentences
I'm sorry, we'll have you take you down to the English Department for a little test.

My Illuminati overlords have forbidden me to have any dealings with our NASA servants for reasons of security. (but don't spread that around, okay? :shhh: )

Greetings.

The good people at NASA do not have time to peruse this forum. They are too busy laughing their nards off at the enterprisemission website!

Seriously, I have some contacts at NASA, but it's currently informal. For example, during the Venus Transit last eyar, I flew to Goddard Space Flight Center and did a bunch of quick interviews for local TV (about 35 stations during the day). I sometimes chat with those folks about various issues, but again it's pretty informal.

I don't think they read the board, though.

I have gotten two emails from different departments at NASA. It was in response to questions I emailed them directly, tho.
I worked at a company where a programmer claimed to have worked on one of the Mariner projects and he told me about the escape velocity required to get out of the solar system and I had to check his story out. Turns out he was right. It takes a lot of energy to get "kicked out" of the solar system. I emailed a dr. who is part of the Mars Rover team about what the latest news was and he emailed me back
So I think it would be best to email them directly or check out how to contact them from their web sites.

So there is no chance of any of us getting freelance consultancy work for NASA then ? :shifty:

I heard on the grapevine that over-ripe banana skins are a particularly sought-after barter good for refugees from a certain former mid-Atlantic superpower (starts with the letter "A", Atlas? Atlantdon? Atlantismus??); instead of taking, maybe your next 'waste management pre-processor' will give, courtesy of NASA!

It just seems like NASA is missing a trick here, with the high quality of the posters on this forum, I would have thought the would use this place as a resource.
