This came to me tonight as I was being pummelled by Teri Tait in the Acronym Game. Since I started play, I've looked for small ways to make my response more interesting (to me) - using the previoius poster's chosen word as the first word of my acronym, trying to work in various poster's pseudonyms.. that sort of thing...

Tonight, I thunk of a variant, if you are interested. The rules are the same, except that the resonse must be an intelligible sentence (in English, I'm afraid - no fun if I don't understand the insult)

Change of perspective, essentially the exact same game. I really didn't pummel him at all, he kept up pretty well. ;)
I just have a fair memory for words, word related trivia, and especially the fine art of annoyance through the written language.

Hmmm...I will put it in chess terms, as an adept chess player you no doubt easily play both sides of the board in your head with ease, you likely can play as easily from a side location observing others play... It may become more difficult if you played while hopping on one foot...harder still if you juggled and hopped...then add fire to the juggle pins and concentration may lose focus.
For myself it is like standing on my head and looking at the words as though they were reflecting off a mirror...bit dyslexic of me I guess and I don't think it would be a lasting irritation, I was just not used to the format...keyword being was.

How is that different from the other acroynim game...
How it works...
A word is posted as an acronym and the letters have to be used to make a sentence.

Then...
Mark one of the words in your sentence by using bold type or UPPERCASE. That word will then be used for the following Acronym.

Example...
TAG = The Acronym Game

Umbriel & Ariel and the whole story "the rape of the lock" threw me a curve. (Goethe wrote about it too). When I made a connection with that and moons of Uranus, it bothered me. Especially since I wrote that Little Willy prose along a similar vein (so to speak).
The only constellation I know is the Big\Little Dippers, I had no idea the names of the moons of Uranus. I have been looking for those names and the correlation they have to each other for a while. Just irked me, plus that stupid dragon star gets on my nerves, as does the rating thread. Seemed like a good way to blow off steam in three minor irritants.
Besides darkened angels value truth very much, since thoughts can flow universal, I wanted to be sure that honesty and honorable intent are paramount. Seriously.
