You may have even heard it on the news..
..I get to school, (Boyd County High) and the sky is dark with smoke because less then a mile away a fire was raging in a landfill. The sky was covered in smoke, and had a funny smell to it, from all the chemicals that were burning. So the bell rings and I wait for my shuttle bus to East Campus, but it never comes. While waiting I see the news channel 3 team running all over the place, and I knew something was up. Turns out we were moved to the gymnasium, where I waited for 1 hour. Then we reported to normal classes, but shortly there after we were placed on a early dismissal schedule, and everyone was so happy, but not for long, as the fire got worse, the speaker came on and guess what? Were we getting out of school? NO..We were moved to the middle school with one other school inside one gymnasium, for a grand total of 3 schools, with NO ventilation. It was as close to complete chaos as I have ever been. And all this so the freaking school can collect their money for us eating lunch, but there was no lunch to eat.
I spent 5 hours in that gymnasium, and I think I almost died, there was nothing to eat, nothing to drink, and absolutely nothing to do.
The worst day ever...
