I figured I'd stay up and watch till the end. That seems like a mistake this morning, though it was a heck of a game. I'm looking forward to the one tonight.

Any time Florida State loses, it is a good game.

Well, let's see. There were 77,773 spectators in the stadium watching the game in person, while preliminary ratings indicate it was watched by between 10 million to 20 million on television.
What a game! I enjoyed it when, asked by a reporter about his reaction to the 3 OTs, Paterno replied, "I told (Bowden) I'm too old for this. It's almost past my bedtime."
Fun contest, two great head coaches, at least one of the kickers got redemption, and, yup, anytime those Seminoles lose, especially to the Nittany Lions, it's a good game!

y'know - for 3 seconds, I thought this thread was about a still life.
I had a game on for a few moments today... then I went back to the Woman's Hockey game I taped the other night (well, was taped for me)

For 3 seconds I too thought this thread was about a still life... Then I was disappointed.

I'm not a big college football fan, so I missed this one. Still hearing about it was just jaw dropping. From what I understood, Florida State's defense was on the field for 82 snaps...that's a LOT of punishment. Heck, with that much field time, I'm not surprised it ended up a field goal shoot out, both the quarterback's had to have been hurling junk after the first OT, I don't even want to think about how the running backs felt the morning after.

The only time I get interested in college football is when Penn State cracks the top 10. Last few years have been difficult, but this year made up for it. But for one play, Penn State would be undefeated and probably playing for the national title. Next year looks very promising.
