Dave MitskyThanks for the reminder, we'll check it out, weather permitting.

I wonder if those with really big scopes (12"+) will be able to see the gas clouds obscured?

Gee, I'm sure glad it's FREAKIN' POURING DOWN RAIN here in the Pac NW. Thanks for the info though!

Talk about going from bad to worse...

My weather is going from cloudy to increasing clouds.

I wonder if those with really big scopes (12"+) will be able to see the gas clouds obscured? The moon is getting towards full, right? That's an awful lot of nearby light pollution.

I just noticed (thanks Dave) that we may have close to a grazer in Alcyone here, just near the end of the dark limb. That'd be kinda cool.

PS: while I do appreciate Lance bumping the thread, I'd meant to thank Dave for starting it.

Arrrrgh! again! Perfectly clear again tonight! :wall:Careful, you don't want to be banging your head against the wall for the next thirty days... or maybe you do :) why else would you be Kaptain 4K?

I watched it with just a pair of binoculars. Was that notch in the terminator the Bay of Rainbows? I was impressed.
