Gruesome

An 'Astronomical' take on David Letterman's 'Brush with Greatness', where people tell anecdotes about meeting famous people.

Except for the fact that everyone I knew was busy, it was an otherwise fine day for golf in Fenton Michigan (this was in 1996). So, I sallied forth alone to Fenton Farms with the aim of chasing a small white, dimpled ball back and forth over well trimmed fairways. Upon reaching the club house, I learned that the course was rather crowded and in order to play, I would have to join up with a threesome that was just about to tee off.

The foursome consisted of me, a father and his two sons. Over the course of the course I learned that one of the sons was no other than this guy...

It took all the restraint I could posess not to just gush Fanboy at him. Needless to say he waxed us all. I figured he must be using NASA computers to control his trajectory. Nice guy, though.

Obviously making use of NASA's extensive golf research program (http://www.tecsoc.org/pubs/history/pics/apollo14b.jpg).
