This is a question that goes out to all of you.

Have any of you heard of a band called Spacehog who had a hit song in the mid 90s called `In the Meantime'

And followed it up with a song called Space Is The Place? Used to love those songs, but they kind of fell off the map after that album.

Just curious as to whether anyone else had heard of them.

I own the first one, but haven't listened to it in ages. I really liked "In the Meantime" but not much else was very memorable. I wasn't even aware of the second album.

Well, true, I'm not sure they did make a 2nd album either. Googling them suggests they didn't. I do remember that the lead singer was going out with a famous actress though.

Damn. He married Liv Tyler.

Well, he definitely did something right there.

Google Liv Tyler Image Page (http://images.google.com/images?sourceid=navclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGGL,GGGL:2005-09,GGGL:en&q=liv%20tyler&sa=N&tab=wi)

I think you're right. I misread your original post.

Is this a cover of the Sun Ra (http://www.dpo.uab.edu/~moudry/) song? If so, you're in luck - Sun Ra and his Myth Science Arkestra put out literally hundreds of recordings, many of which are still available. SITP shows up on more than a few of them - here (http://www.dpo.uab.edu/~moudry/disc_c.htm#52A.), for example.

So they had 3 ALBUMS! That is surprising. Never heard a thing about `The Chinese Album' or 'Hogyssey' (which to be honest, does sound a wee bit wanky)

Cheers though.

I loved that band. Candyman and Calling Your Name also got some air time around here, in addition to their two big songs. The bass player ended up with Blind Melon, I think (or whatever they are called now).

http://www.keephoggin.com/ has a bunch of song downloads, including some stuff you've maybe not heard before.
