I have traditionally made the glossary page on my website using a table. I recently discovered the definitions tag and so I made a modified version. Which one do you think is better?
The old one using the table? (http://www.geocities.com/freedomforfission/app/glossary.html)
The new one using the definitions tag? (http://www.geocities.com/freedomforfission/app/glossarytemp.html)
(BTW, naturally my browser is a jerk when it comes to looking at online pages. The new version should be sans-serif throughout with the terms being defined in bold.)

The new one is better.

Well this decision is looking simpler all the time.

I was going to disagree, and say the table, but I realized that the new page wasn't displaying correctly for me. The terms are not bolded, so the text all looks the same (must be my Mac. It looks better on the PC). I'd recommend putting an extra line break after each definition, but otherwise, go with the new one.

No question the new one looks better, although I agree, a line between each item would be helpful.

Try the new one again. It should have a bit of spacing between entries now.

I'm not seeing a line break, Glom.

Spacing still looks the same.

Ah yes. I uploaded the wrong file. Oh, by the way, the new link won't work anymore. The old link is now the new link.

Er... no, it isn't. I still get the old page from the old link, and the new link just doesn't work.
Edit: Never mind. I just had to refresh.

On the index page (http://www.geocities.com/freedomforfission), is anyone seeing the tables left aligned, or are they both centred?
Okay, now on a completely unrelated note. How would I go about finding a transcript of an official court summary from, say, the US District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania?

To me it appears everything is left aligned on the index page.

Why did you change your name? I didn't realize you were Plane Geek. Well, you know I'll tell you what I think given the last time I read your whole site, but at the moment your front page and that chart are not centered. It was when I was at work and it looked fine.
I notice you've added stuff since my last reading. Hmm. It's too bad you don't like my "Welcome to Sunny Glomville" picture. I'll have to dig that up...feeling frisky. I'm not sure I like that it says "Glossary" on the first page and Appendices where Glossary should be. An appendix isn't a glossary, it's added information. Nitpicky, huh? Otherwise I like your glossary when the chart is centered. Edit redux add: I think that subheading is a little corny, but that's just me--it's a serious subject I don't feel whimsical about.
I also like some info you added. The font at times seems to change, yes. It looked different at work.

Well, you can start here with the opinions:
http://www.pamd.uscourts.gov/opinions.htm
If you told me the specific case, I could probably help you further. If for some reason you don't want to post it, you can PM it to me, and I'll be happy to assist you. Why? I'm not sure! (kidding) :)

you keep aside the both and make third one new, then I will give the opinion, but 2 are not bad.

Hey glom- are you OK with having geocites as a hoster?
They can be quite annoying... Esspecially with the adds...
I could give you some space on my site if you like? With a subdomain (http://freedomforfission.scotsons-shack.com Or whatever).

The second link in the OP is not working for me.
If I´m allowed, avoid using tables for formatting. Use them for what they´re designed for: displaying tabular data.*
*as many have pointed out.
