Soon you could be running your laptop computer all day without a recharge as commercial versions of fuel cells go on sale.
At the Cebit technology fair in Hanover, Taiwanese hi-tech firm Antig said its fuel cells should be on the shelves of computer shops by early 2007.

Now, is there any advantage to a methanol fuel-cell over a direct oxygen/hydrogen one? I mean, with such a small fuel requirement, you could go with a closed-loop fuel cell and just "recharge" the laptop by plugging it it and producing your fuel by breaking down the water produced by the fuel-cell.
