Ooh, boy! If you haven't seen "The Bank Dick" starring WC Fields you have to rent it, borrow it, steal it - any method. Fields (Egbert Souse, reprobate, ne'er do well, etc) comes out of his house and there is an open-top limousine with a dowager in the back, broken down at the curb. The driver has the split hood up, and Fields "helps" him with comments like "are you sure you're carrying the proper amount of air in the tires" and "it could be the wheelbase". The driver's frustration is exascerbated by the dowager's orders to "Listen atttentively, James." Perfect. Fields re-wrote lots of the script, and it's probably his best movie.
