I've been waiting for a call from one specific company. Its been about 20 days since I applied. I've gotten 2 offers already, but I haven't accepted any, cuz I really want to work for this company. On my cover letter, I didn't mention that I would "contact them to answer any questions they may have." Would it be OK to call them up about this? If so, what should I say? As of now, their website still shows that the position isn't filled.

Dont know. They never mentioned anything like that. My friend got a call after about 3 weeks.

Maybe you have not heard from the one you truly want, but the others you are holding will not wait for ever. The one you are waiting for may turn you down, and you might also loose the backups you had.

Best to accept one of the ones you already have and make the best of it.

I'd call them and be very honest about your situation. I don't think anyone minds hearing, "I'd really like to work for you."

My understanding of life is you take what you can, and not neccassarily what you want.

We also have another saying here in England, "Beggers can't be choosers". If you need a job and an income, perhaps you may just have to accept one of the other offers. It is hard, but who says life had to be easy or fair.

I'm not really in a situation where I have to take anything I can get. I already have a job. I'm just extremely interested in this one.

Sorry I just kind of got it into my head you were out of work, something I remember from bitter experience.

At the moment where I am, if I got any job offer somewhere else, I most likely would take it.
