My dog had to get a fur cut today, unfortunatly they accidentally nicked her ear, and had to have stitches. Fortunatly, there is an on-site vet at the groomers, so she was well taken care off. She now has a bandage around her ear, and one of those doggie cones that keeps her from scratching her ear.

She currently looks like a canine version of Vincent Van Gogh.

I hope I did this right, and there should be a link to the picture I took of her.

The bright side to this is that now I have a costume for halloween for her.:lo:

Due to size limit of the pictures, I could not attatch the ones where you can see herwhole face.

After looking at this, I realice that the picture I have linked to, is the picture on the thumbnail.

I´m relieved. The thread´s title seemed to herald worst things, and I´m fed up with bad news for today.

A speedy recovery for Koko. :)

Reminds me a Simpsons episode when Santa's Little Helper is wearing the cone and Grandpa remarks, "the lamps moving again". :)

Hopefully a quick recovery.

Oh...poor little doggie! They do look so pitiful in the cone get up. Here's what my poor little guy looked like in a similar situation. BTW, the green thing is his stuffed lizard!

Same here, Argos, in both respects.

Poor dogs! I trust each had/will have a speedy recovery!

Here is a link to Starry Night (http://www.moma.org/images/collection/FullSizes/00103071.jpg) as a get well to all the Vincent van Doggies.

Not the cone. Poor doggie. Dogs always have the look of humiliation when they get coned.

With the cone and all the bandages on that poor dog, I would say that he/she got more than just a little nick on the ear.

I thank you for your sympathies, (as does Koko).

She did not have as many bandages when we first picked her up, but she shook her head, hit the ear against the cone, and started bleeding again. That is when they took her in to get more bandaged up. My understanding is that the ear is almost nothing but bloodvessels and cartlidege, which is why it bleed so much.
