With yesterday the anniversary of one of the most despicable acts in history, I went looking for anything online that could really convey the sheer confusion of events.

Well I found it in the form of the web-archive maintained by players of the 'occult-horror' rpg 'Unknown Armies'.

Here is a link to their archive for September 2001 (http://lists.unknown-armies.com/pipermail/ua/2001-September.txt.gz).

The posts are in chronological order, just scroll down to a post entitled 'One-Shots' and you'll find the beginning.

As for what 'One-Shots' signifies, this 1999 review from rpg.net (http://tinyurl.com/h5o7z) should answer all your questions.

Wow. At first read of your second link: "The first supplement for "Unknown Armies" consists of 5 stand-alone modules that have pregenerated characters,"

I read it to mean "impregnated."

It took me a couple of seconds to sort out the confusion as to how 5 stand-alone modules could have impregnated other characters!
