Dangit, I moved up to the second floor years ago!

(I've got a legitimate excuse for living with Mom, I'm the only child still single, and she's in REAL bad shape, healthwise)

Doodler: what you do is honourable (taking care of a sick mother). I was with my mom and witnessed the early stage of alzheimer disease....not fun

Ouch, the mess I'm dealing with is the other way around. Her mind is fine, her body is falling apart around her. Not pretty either way.

I had a friend who ended up taking care of his mom until she died (diabetes) simply because he hadn't gotten around to moving out yet. He was there, so it became his job.

Now, my little sister is just mooching off my mom.

Glad I'm not the only one in my boat. My Mum has CFS.

My best friend was, until she moved in here to take care of me, living with her dad and taking care of him for a slew of both mental and physical health problems. Having her here is the only time in my life I've felt low maintenance--I'm so much easier to take care of than her dad!
