This is a MULTIPLE CHOICE POLL.
Please select what you think are good series. I, myself, have not seen all of these series. I may well select some on the basis of reputation or premise. If you wish to make comments about these specific shows, they are welcome to those who may not have seen those shows.
This poll concludes the first half of the first round. The shows getting at least 10 votes from the 1st half:
Futurama 27
Firefly 23
Twilight Zone (original) 20
Blake's Seven 19
Farscape 19
Babylon 5 18
Battlestar Galactica (new) 18
Space: Above and Beyond 16
Angel 13
Space: 1999 12
Battlestar Galactica (original) 11
Buffy the Vampire Slayer 11
Lexx 11
Alien Nation 10
Max Headroom 10
UFO 10
Remember, this only represents votes for 'I like it' and does not represent the degree of love a series may have among its fans. We will begin to measure that in the second round.

UFO Was wonderful in the fact it didn't always have a happy ending. In fact at times the series could be very dark and brooding

Well I voted for One Step Beyond as I mentioned
it. Dunno why, it scared the H... out of me.
I will not vote UFO as it was completely
miserable as I remember. But it did feature
a Royal Navy SeaSlug missile shooting one
down. Only success the system ever had:)

I remember enjoying UFO in my younger days. Never got into Buffy, so it's the only show on this list I voted for.

I only saw a limited number of episodes from GAH in reruns as an adult. I thought the show had some potential. I'm kinda disappointed that it's not considered more highly. . .
Though I must admit that I didn't see more than a few eps in reruns. . .
Buffy occupies a specialized niche in the fantasy/sci-fi world. The original movie was probably not as satirical as it should have been but the series decided to take a serious shot at the concept. It was the later episodes that really hurt it.
One Step Beyond and UFO I hadn't heard of until I asked for nominations. As far as Space:AAB, I did see the occasional episode and was intrigued.

Stepped up for the Marines here, but from what I remember when SciFi used to air UFO (back when they actually aired science fiction), it had a few episodes that impressed me. Decent character stories at that.

Space Above was great wasn't it? It even had replicants! :D
I borrowed it from a friend who'd taped it & I still remember my utter disbelief after I asked for the 2nd series ....

Yeah, it was. One of the few shows a few friends of mine who otherwise hate science fiction would actually stop and watch.
We were out at a bar one night playing pool, and while every other TV in the room had some sports game on, we had Space: Above and Beyond on, with the volume up, and a decent crowd gathered around. :)

Voted Buffy because it is one of my favourites ever, but I don't really see how it is a scifi series?
