I caught a few minutes of the updated sfx Trek yesterday and I must say it wasn't bad (quite good actually). It was the Naked Time episode. The scene where the Enterprise was spiralling down the the planet was way cool. Sound quality seemed better as well and the picture in general seemed crisper (and I don't even have digital cable). Anybody living in Nova Scotia can catch it on Fox 36 (in Halifax) Saturday's between 6 and 7pm. It might be on Sundays as well. Check it out. regards

Yeah, they've cleaned up the images and audio as well as replacing some FX. I've only managed to catch "Devil in the Dark" last week, but it was pretty nice-looking. Maybe now I can finally get to see every TOS episode.

Interesting! I had talked about this, but I missed the announcement that they were actually going to do a release with an FX update. Can't wait to see it. Here are a couple of articles on it:

saw the complete episode last night...well done...especially liked it when the Enterprise was going into orbit around CY2000 (I think that was the name of the planet). The Enterprise is beautifully rendered in the new cgi.... also the planet itself is way cool....

I'm watching the "uncut" episodes on G4, and I have to say it's a little tiring to see the Enterprise orbiting the same exact planet starting off just about every single episode.

I've been making my way through DS9, and every single time a runabout enters orbit around the planet, it's the same shot. I know exactly what you mean.

It is Psi 2000.
