So, who else saw this one? Did a good job of pointing out the absurdities in all those conspiracy theories.

I saw it.....it was pretty amusing, yeah. :)

I saw it too. It was funny, but I thought that it was probably funnier to people only dimly aware of the conspiracy theories than to us. We have so much exposure to the complexities and details of the arguments that they couldn't do the topic justice to us in only 22 minutes. None-the-less pretty funny. I think I could have done with about 50% less of the "Hardly Boys".

South park did a 9/11 CT episode? Man, I missed it! I've been wondering when they would get around to doing something like that. After all, they've poked fun at a lot of other issues and fads.
When's it gonna be on again?

From the South Park website (http://www.southparkstudios.com/):
Cartman exposes the truth behind 9/11 in an all-new episode of "South Park" on Wednesday, October 11 at 10:00 P.M. on Comedy Central
The world’s biggest conspiracy of all time will finally be uncovered. Eric Cartman exposes the true culprit behind the September 11th attacks in an all-new “South Park” entitled, “Mystery of the Urinal Deuce,” premiering Wednesday, October 11 at 10:00 p.m. on Comedy Central.
No one in South Park is safe from the people who are the real brains behind the 9/11 conspiracy. When Kyle and Stan hit the road in search of the truth, they come face-to-face with the masterminds who pulled off the most elaborate, intricate and flawlessly executed operation in American history.

What we noticed was that they didn't even use any of the more bizarre theories--the exploding rebar and the holographic planes, for example. My roommate guesses it's because people will think Parker and Stone are making it up.
And, yeah, the Hardly Boys were pretty tedious.

And, yeah, the Hardly Boys were pretty tedious.
That's an understatement.

This synopsis does not do justice to the brilliance of this script, but basically, in the end:
*****SPOILER ALERT*****
The lads discover that all of the 9/11 conspiracy theories were actually created by the US government to make them look more capable and all-powerful than they really are.
Kyle asks, "So, who's really responsible for 9/11?"
Answer: "Oh, that was a bunch of ****ed-off muslims."

lol Count. I like. It's true though. the Official Story makes the US authorities look like a bunch of incompetent keystone cops. The CT version makes them super spies capable of defying the laws of physics themself. Which would you pick to make yourself feel superior, lol.

Funny episode. There were two moments that I had to rewind my TiVo because I was laughing so hard...
Moment 1
Kyle: Anybody who thinks 9/11 was a conspiracy is a retard.
Cartman: Oh, really? Well, did you know that over one-fourth of people in America think that 9/11 was a conspiracy? Are you saying that one-fourth of Americans are retards?
Kyle: Yes, I'm saying one-fourth of Americans are retards.
Stan: Yeah, at least one-fourth.
Moment 2
9/11 Researcher: "You won't get away with it! People know!"
George W. Bush: "People? You mean... sheeple."

I think the reverse: I thought it was funnier if you had researched the CTs a whole bunch. Very few of my buddies thought it was a riot as much as I did.

Yeah, my fiancee didn't find it as funny as I did.

"Stan! We gotta get outta here! We can't be seen with this nutjob!"
(The SWAT team kicks in the door.)
"Aww! Aw. AWWW...!"
...and...
"Really..?!"

"Really..?!"
My best friend/roommate and I watched it together, and she's been quoting that one ever since--and what she knows about CTs, she's pretty much learned from me. She thought it was very funny, though, as did I.
