I did a search trying to figure out if I might have picked up this link in this forum but couldn't find it so here goes.
I know Greenfeather likes those alternative world stories. I found a good one. Here's a site, with real good illustrations, about us exploring alternate Earths and we found one where the Chicxulub bolide missed. So no K-T extinction. Dinosaurs didn't get wiped out. Higher mammals didn't evolve. A nicely done bit of work by people with actual paleontology under their belts. This other world is called specworld (Speculation). And so while T-rex itself might be extinct, its descendents, radiated into several species, terrorize the Northern Hemisphere. The geology and physical history are identicle, including matching fossil beds in what would be "Wyoming". A lot of the pages are done up wiki fashion, so if you click on a beasty's name you link over to its page.
