Hello, last year my sister bought me an Apogee 90mm "Richest-Field" refractor. Well, I've taken some fairly good photos with it (I piggybacked the Apogee on my Celestron CPC 800 on EQ homemade Frankenstein wedge and 12" pier) using my Canon D350, but have had nothing but frustration with the focuser.

Does anyone know who mfgs these so that I can find a solution to this horrid r&p focuser? I've made everything but the Celestron and the Apogee, so DIY stuff is great with me...

Thanks so much,
Don

You may want to have a look at the MoonLite refractor focusers. They are high quality units but aren't as expensive as the top-of-the-line Feather Touch focusers.

I appreciate the recommendation- this thing has frustrated me with the tube being threaded and a total lack of useful info from Apogee as to whether this is a Synta import or what...

Thanx again

Thanks again, got me to thinking, and I found some really good links for ATM Crayford-type focusers-I'll post a pic when I start it this week...
