The £ is now over $2. It just suddenly hit me what this meant when a webhost renewal costing £7.50 was logged by Paypal as $15.32!
American produce is going cheap. Everyone buy American products immediately while the £ is still strong. Dollars too as if you hold onto them, chances are you can sell them for a profit.
BUY! BUY! BUY!

Mr Greenspan, you have to stop using sock puppets in an attempt to push up the dollar. You are no longer Fed Chairman so just relax and enjoy your retirement and learn to put up with the fact that you can't travel in Europe as cheaply as you used to.

Well, stay away from Canada, I suppose. We're up around $0.90 USD. Bad for exporters. BAD.

I have had this argument for years with a friend of mine.
Canada is an export nation and we do benefit from a lower dollar. He argues that we need a higher dollar because it reflects the strength of our economy and will stimulate foreign investment in our resources.
I shop Canadian, and when I do buy imports I just suck back and pay the price.
Does a resource based nation benefit from a lower dollar?
About 80% of our foreign trade is with the USA, and we are running a trade surplus with them.

We've adjusted since the last time the dollar spiked. We can probably stand a dollar on par with (or a little higher than) the USD. Any higher, though...
