I couldn't find any references to the halos except in ATM. So...

I'm not sure how noteworthy this is...but it's interesting to me, and I'm sure there are those here that can comment on it.

I did find the illustration useful :sick: not.

The red plus symbols represent stars and the brown burst-like symbols are star clusters.

I think there may be a few more than that...

Discussed in this thread (http://www.bautforum.com/questions-answers/68033-astronomers-find-new-halo-milky-way.html). There is a link to the preprint. Its basically more evidence for the hierarchical cluster theory of galaxy formation.
