Anyone going to Canada's Arctic for the Solar Eclipse August 1 ? The path of totality will just be on the edge of Cambridge Bay, Nunavut which is at 69 degrees Latitude.
Even in August can we expect lots of cloudiness in the Arctic at that time of year? Coastal fog? Or is it always sunny there?
Also, with the Sun being right on the horizon at the eclipse time at that location, could a trip there to see it be pointless?
A round trip there from Yellowknife is about $ 1,100 so we have to consider cost.
