Poor girl, she's only 33 years young. She's been with me for a while. I always reliable. I don't have full coverage and it's too expensive to pay a proffessional to do it, so I'm going to do it myself. I'll open her up soon. She's leaking coolant in her heater system, and it's too much of a pain replace the heating coil, so, I'm just going to bypass it.

(Just 'caus it's what I do, and we here love to nit-pick)
Full coverage wouldn't make a differance anyway; insurance only covers accidents, not general maitnence/wear'n'tear. So the silver lining is, even if you paid all that extra money for insurance, it wouldn't have mattered anyway. ;)

A warranty is a type of coverage too.

Oh blah blah blah...I don't get to use my insurance knowlege often, can't you just leave me be? :)
Off-topic, but we regularly get telemarketing calls from work that start as a recording that says "We are calling about urgent information regarding your car's warranty!" I always hang up before it goes any further, as the last important information about *my* car's warranty is that it ran out 6 years ago.

Hey, you started it.
I was going to be an insurance claims adjuster, but $15 an hour? No way.
I love the ones about my credit card account, and I have to call them right away.

My favorite is the "please dial 9 'cause we asked you to, especially if you're a business so we can use the outside line you gave us to place hours of long distance calls on your tab".
An oldie, but a classic.

I've never taken any vehicle I ever owned to a mechanic...

If I have the money, and no time, I take it to a mechanic.
If I have the time, but no money, I do it myself.
I changed my engine once. Took a month and was a pain in the butt.
The bypass was successful, I howver, have no heater system now.

Where you located? In a place where you can get away with that, . . . and be comfortable?

SoCal.
The only thing I used the heater for was defrost when it would get around a low of 40 degrees at night/early morning.
