Postal Delays!

A woman who worked for the German postal service has been suspended after police found 29,000 undelivered letters at her home.

And they didn't believe me when I said the cheque was in the post!

You mean your postal service is as bad as ours! I don't trust the one over here to deliver a plausible excuse - let alone the mail. If it gets put through the letterbox its a bonus.

In my haste to send a couple hobby catalogs from California to a small town in Ohio, I neglected to write my return address on the envelope. It arrived at its destination opened, a couple days later than expected, with a note from the Post Office stating it had been officially "inspected".
Can't be too careful these days... :(

There was a time when I had to cancel all my model airplane magazines. Many missed issues and a number of them would arrive with obvious dogged edges --- the postmen were obviously reading through them before getting around to delivering them to me.

It was back to picking them up at the newsstand!
