I chuckled a bit as most of it is true.
I found this gem in a UK satire site.

....Earth, 4,000,000,000, said last night: "I'll be absolutely fine, seriously. I might get a bit warmer and a bit wetter, but to be honest, that actually sounds quite nice"....
...."Look, I'm just a planet doing its thing, alright? If things want to live on me, that's their business, .......

Just a bit of a language warning on that one. It may not be filled with it, but it would have been no different without the occasional reference.

if we get too out of hand for our own good, mother earth will shake us off like a bad cold.
in the overall scheme of things, we are nothing.

NEOWatcher is probably referring to the word *******. It is a cultural taboo in the United States and Canada and prohibited on BAUT.

I am even more confused now.
Are you referring to something said on the link or something I wrote?
If it is something said on the link I apologise for not warning you.

George Carlin did a skit that was very similar to this.

Well, I argued toward my teacher of biology in a very similar way some 50 years ago (and I still believe in it !). I had to leave the classroom for ten minutes (no joke!). Enough time to meet a really nice girl. So I volunteered for a 20 minutesī exile.

i was actually referring to the george Carlin skit in my post.. his theory is that the planet created us to make something that she wanted but couldn't make for herself- plastic. once there is enough plastic, she will shake us off like a bad cold.
he also says that the universe was created by a giant electron, and that he worships Joe Pesci- which makes as much sense as anything else, i guess..

O'l Moms can rest her weary stones; if we get too far out of hand, odds are we'll take ourselves out, saving her the effort.

Well, if we don't wipe ourselves out, then clearly we didn't get too far out of hand. ;)
