Interesting photo here (http://www.strategypage.com/military_photos/2008370418.aspx).
How they can march in those shoes is beyond my comprehension. I did notice that the shoes aren't uniform (consistent).

I had a dream like that once. But it didn't have the creepy guy kneeling with the camera.

Are they really soldiers? I mean uniformly pretty that way? Furthermore, those miniskirts must pose a real problem, discipline-wise... :)

I wonder how they deal with an invasion.

Those heels can do a lot of damage, and not just to the tendons of the woman wearing them.

Yeah but most armies who fight against them will lose.

I thought armies bared arms not legs.

I have already submitted my own signed surrender documents. Unconditional.

Ukrainian army recruitment video ad (http://www.milkandcookies.com/link/84036/detail)
What I'd like to see is the ad which convinced the ladies in OP link to join up...

They look more like Russian policewomen than soldiers.

Wouldn't that be the same one? It's a very close knit group. :shhh:

Wow, the Ukrainians are using the same methods Budwiser uses.
If you drink Bud, women will like you.
All those Ukrainian girls are probably mistresses to officers in the Ukraining army.

Our shoes were 1/2 inch K's (clarkes) and the skirts had to be below the knees, as I would think the guys marching with us would be out of step!:)

Eish!
There are two pervs in that photo, they are ogling and taking pictures of the army ehm people. I found it disturbing. I mean distracting, Larry Jacks I am sure you broke some obscured BAUT rule with that link. I am ashamed that I clicked, the image has been burned on my mind.....(he said after saving the picture in his hard drive)

Here is an article written by a woman who actually was in the Ukrainian army. Hopefully a dose of realism will cool some people's imaginations.

Yow. Yow. Freaky. Definitely got to go into my next screenplay. It'll
shoot the credibility to heck, but it's gotta go in.
Any word on what organization they really belong to? An ROTC equivalent
would be my guess.

I doubt it's a stunt. These things happen in Ukraine. You should see their Prime Minister (http://www.resourcesforlife.com/groups/prg/yulia-tymoshenko-01.jpg).

Wow I thought you were pulling a fast one.
Indeed Yulia Volodymyrivna Tymoshenko is the current Prime minister.

However, she is not the head of state. That's President Viktor Yushchenko (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/President_of_Ukraine). Ukraine has a semipresidential system (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semi-presidential_system).

Actually, it sounds somewhat tame compared to US basic training or our service academies. There appears to be one difference, though. Years ago (1995), I heard one recent AF Academy grad ask the following: "How is a quarter on the ground different from a female academy cadet? You'll actually stop to pick up a quarter."

I stand by my first guess.
Here are some pictures of Russian police. Look at the shoulder insignia and the hats.

I am assuming that the person who labeled the pic knew which country they are in, but I could be wrong.
the shoulder boards and patches are pretty generic, but I am thinking cops or national guard (whatever equivalent they have) since they have long hair and the shoes dont all match
