View Full Version : Interesting What A High Fever Can Do To Your Perspective.

So yeah, this was one hell of a cold.

Little sinus and nasel effects but a huge fever and lung compontent. I was in legitimate respiretory distress until I could get some OTC cough medicines in me. Quite unpleasant.

And even with anti-pyretics I was cooking at 102.5F for about four days straight. If I hadn't been sure I caught it from my oldest I would have suspected pneumonia. That and I had the pneumonia vaccine 3 years ago.

But the weirdest part was a vivid waking dream I had on night 2 of the fever. Definately on the order of a religeous experience. I am in so much trouble BTW. Its a very bad sign when your spirit guide doesn't recognize who you are, just who you were. (We've met before). I have been screwing up hard for the last three years it seems. That's when I started taking that med that made me so fat. I had also quit working and have been cruising on disability for way too long. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Every point that came up was still valid in the sober light of day, I'm sad to say.

If you are who you aren't for too long, then you aren't anymore. Awkward, but it relays the message.

Now its just down to a bit of a cough and a big dose of laryngitis. And as Boo mentioned, I sound like Darth Vader going through puberty, with the labored breathing and the voice that cracks and squeaks when I try to say more than five words in a row. (Yep, just tried to sing. Cats began throwing things at me.)

Well, I have to catch up on some threads, and tell the guys over in Gear the latest about my new telescope.

Thank you for your concern,

BD

I've never noticed a difference between my high-fever dreams and my regular dreams (except for the discomfort of cooking from the inside)...but that's possibly because my regular dreams are vivid and confusing enough to make me wonder who sneaks into my home and injects me with crack every time I go to sleep. :)

Oh, and welcome back. If Vadar can survive a slip into an active volcano you can fight though this. :)

I hate it when spirit guides don't recognize me... but they always butt in when I get to the interesting part of the dream with the cute girl.
