I was wondering if you guys ever watch any movies that deal with space or sci-fi topics in general. If so I could use some feedback from the community on Richard Kellys film Southland Tales. All I know is that it has something to do with either post or pre apocalyptic times and I'm pretty sure it takes place right after WW3 so they're is lots of talk of colonizing other planets and alternative energy sources etc.

If you've seen it please tell me what you thought.

I've seen it.

I don't recall any mention of colonizing other planets, although it might be in there. Lord knows everything else is.

There was a machine called 'Fluid Karma', which generates energy from ocean currents.

Personally, I found the movie to be disjointed, at best. It was funny in spots but it really didn't seem to know where it wanted to go, so it went everywhere.

We sure do.

You might want to check out the Film Buffery thread here in Off Topic Babbling and also the Small Media at Large section in Space and Astonomy.

I haven't seen Southland Tales.
