Telescope to Camera(cannot find mount)

Hello, I am a newbie at this, so I would appreciate if someone could clarify one thing.

I have an Olympus e510 dSLR and recently got a new Skywatcher telescope (http://www.astroshop.de/en/telescopes/skywatcher/refractors/skywatcher-90-900mm-eq-2)

Now, on the website (link above) you can find a - Camera adapter 1.25 '' Camera adapter 1.25 '' for the telesope, but there is no olympus 4/3 adapter, so does anybody know if it exists at all? I found some 3-rd party adapters, will they work too?

What do you want to take pictures of? If planets and the moon, you will get far better results using a modified webcam and stacking software than any DLSR. Besides, I'm assuming that's a big camera and that mount doesn't look so sturdy...

As for finding a 4/3 t-ring... I guess you can wait and hope someone makes one, or get an adapter to another standard and then buy a t-ring for that standard.

I'm not sure what you mean, there are several Olympus 4/3 adaptors on that webpage (and I own one for my fathers old OM-1). Doesn't a generic camera adepter with a Olympus 4/3 T-ring fit your telescope?

For instance you have http://www.astroshop.de/en/telescopes/accessories/astrophotography/t-mounts/t-ring-fourthirds.

The adapter doesn't fit the camera specifically. Most telescope adapters are T-adapters. The 1.25'' refers to the eyepiece barrel that it fits in, and that scope looks like it doesn't take any larger than 1.25'' eyepieces. To connect the camera you thread the T-adapter into a T-ring that fits in your camera's lens mount.

So I would get the 1.25'' adapter, then try to find a T-ring for your camera's lens mount, which should be easy as most camera and telescope stores supply them.

But skintigh is right, you'd have better results with a modified webcam for lunar and planetary. Some popular choices are the Phillips SPC900NC and TouCam, which you can find 1.25'' adapters for all over the astronomical market.
