I have been asked to produce a list of resources that will be handed out to students who will be attending the upcoming CFI Student Leadership conference. So it's going to be handed out to students who lead humanist style campus clubs across North America.

The list will include blogs, podcasts (like the SGU), books, etc. So I'd like some suggestions. Please try to include stuff that people aren't aware of, but need to check out. For instance, everyone knows about Carl Sagan or James Randi, so there's no need to suggest their books. I have one shot at making suggestions to people, so I'd like it to be as meaningful as possible.

More pure science books and resources would be appreciated as well. Thanks.

My Draft list:

Podcasts:

* The Skeptics' Guide to the Universe - http://theskepticsguide.org
Quackcast -http://quackcast.com
Quirks and Quarks - http://cbc.ca/quirks
AstronomyCast - http://astronomycast.com

Science Based Medicine - http://sciencebasedmedicine.org
Neurologica Blog - http://www.theness.com/neurologicablog/

I'd suggest that it may not be a good idea to assume everybody has heard of Segan, Randi, or Shermer's books and sites, and a very brief mention of the "old standbys" might be worth doing.

Something like "over and above Segan, Randi, and Shermer, which I'm sure you're all familiar with, you may also wish to check out..."

some from my 'favourites' which I've never analysed too deeply so might/might not be useful. Also not checked for content (rude words etc)
