Below is the only picture I've ever found of the ones I sometimes got to play with in the Navy. Had a couple sets high on the island of the carrier I was on. I was very impressed with them and wanted to know what to ask for if I hit the lottery. :)

First guess - 25x100
Of course, if you want and can afford (i.e you won the lottery) the absolute top of the line, I'd recommend these:

Assuming the woman's forearm is about 18 inches long, the focal length is about 27in or 675mm and the objectives 6in or 150mm. Assuming an exit pupil of 7mm, this would be about 21x, so it's an 20x150, approximately. Assuming a typical AFOV of 60 degrees, the true field of view is 3.3 degrees, or about 170 feet at 1000 yards.

Woman? The girls appear to be about ten years old. My forearm,
elbow on tabletop to middle fingertip is exactly 18 inches, so I'm
sure the forearm of the girl in the photo is less.
Not that this is the biggest or most serious error I'll see in what is
left of today. There are still eight minutes to go....

There is a bed and breakfast inn in Benson, AZ that is built into an observatory with a 20 inch Mak. They also have a number of amateur size scopes in a room with roll off roof. On a hill outside they have 2 pair of binoculars similar to those. One set was Soviet Navy Surplus with steel lens shutters, and red, green, and blue filters built in.
The other set has a 45 degree prism, making looking up less taxing.
The place is called The Astronomer's Inn (http://www.astronomersinn.com/) now.
Their site lists the binoculars as 20X110 and 25x 125, but I couldn't find any pics for comparison.
