Odd. One night 2 weeks ago I got home from work and threw my clothes in the washer but I forgot that my Ipod shuffle was in my pocket. Next day I turned on the machine as I was getting ready for work and couldn't find my Ipod. A look of abject terror came across my face as I realized I was washing my Ipod. I quickly got it out of the machine (luckily the cycle didn't start yet but the machine almost finished filling - the Ipod was totally submerged) and decided to let it dry out on my windowsill. That night when I got home I put my Ipod in an old empty vitamin jar with one of those dessicant packets. Left it on my windowsill for 2 weeks and finally got up the nerve to plug it into my USB port. I am happy to say (although somewhat surprised) that my Ipod is the modern equivalent of a Timex that takes a licking and keeps on ticking. Not even my music was lost. I still gotta check to see how long a full charge will last after this little soaking incident.
