Gee; I don't get so teed as to put someone on ignore...I just stop responding...
But; I would think that somebody who was so teed off at you as to put you on ignore would need a very good reason to to think that something has changed.
So; What's changed?

For the many BAUT members trying to ignore tommac:
Please remove me from your ignore list.

Thanks.

A wild guess... Tommac has posted question threads in several fora (Q&A and Life in Space, and maybe some others) and may be concerned that he is not getting responses.

In honour of both Moonman and Lepton I wanted to coin a phrase "Ignored out of the debate hall".
(A technique taught by the Oxford University debate club, involving sticking ones fingers in ones ears and saying "la la la la...".)
(Lepton is the only person I know of to put me on ignore. Moonman (if I recall correctly) was the one who made the "you'd be laughed out of the debate hall" claims...).

I discovered and read Moonman's moon-hoax thread today. Classic.

If you are on someones ignore list, correct me if I am wrong here, but the person who is ignoring you wouldn't be able to see any of your posts?
I know that is the reason why 01101001 quoted it, but what happens if 01101001 is on the same ignore list? :D

Hmmm, is it possible to add the number of ignore lists one is on to the user profile statistics? I wonder if I've offended anyone enough to end up on an ignore list.
For the record, I do not maintain an ignore list and don't really plan to.

True, but having someone on ignore doesn't hide entire threads that the ignored person has started. You can still see the thread title. Since the thread title is "Please remove me from your ignore list," even the people doing the ignoring can see it.
EDIT: I just tested this by putting tommac on my ignore list. I was able to see this thread title.
EDIT TO THE EDIT: I also took tommac off of my ignore list after my experiment.
YET ANOTHER EDIT: I only had one person on my ignore list, and that person was banned not long after that anyway. Someone has to really irritate me in almost every post they write for me to add them to an ignore list.

Yeah, my ignore list is currently filled exclusively with the long-since-banned.

You know, assuming I had write access to BAUT's database, I have a query in my head that could replace... say... Henrik's ignore list with the All Posters list, and have it run on any day Henrik writes a post claiming to be drunk. :D

I'd suggest to Tommac slowing down a bit on the questions. I see at least six recent threads in Q&A by him. Asking questions is good, but yeesh.

[Snip!] I only had one person on my ignore list, and that person was banned not long after that anyway. Someone has to really irritate me in almost every post they write for me to add them to an ignore list.
And that's really the way it should be.

That is correct.
But.......
if the ignoree is quoted, in another post, the ignoree's post becomes visible to the ignorer. so catch-a twenty-two....
don't 'ignore'. because by ignoring, you are paying attention, really.
in a way.

What's with this empty thread? Is this some kind of vBulletin bug? There's a lot of empty threads lately!

My ignore list is empty, so that wouldn't get a good result.

In honour of another person whose name I shall not mention but he's called David iirc, I'd still get laughed out of the debating hall. I don't know which one is better: "la la la la" or "ha ha ha ha". ;)
@01101001: subtle choice of words, really subtle :)

I like the vBulletin feature "voice of doom" feature; if you put someone on this list, it highlights their posts in black and their words are written in fire, and if you hover over the post with your arrow, you hear the post spoken by an actor as the booming voice of God...Steven Hawking should really download that voice synthesiser.

Should we all quote Tommacs request until we hit lucky?
What a grand idea! Let's! And afterwards, we can all don small hats and sing tawdry songs around a keg of weak beer!
I'll go third! Tommac requests that he be taken off people's ignore lists.
There! That should do the trick!
What? I'm being ignored, too? Drat! This may take a while...
