NO, its not.
If you are able to detect an area of space that appears to have no mass in it. It is still not nothing. The forces of Gravity and Dark Energy are at work still and through your empty space. If it is found that these forces are particle based or even just wave properties... That is still something Eah? and what of the as yet unknown dark matter and dark energy... Oh there is still so much to learn. Just like coaching the Detroit lions.... how could they be so wrong ?
