I'm may be able to get a good price on a telescope. I'm looking in the price range of what most junk telescopes are. I could get a not very fancy Cstar Telescope thats the model P-50 its a 60mm telescope with a 300mm focal length.

Ritz camera has it for $60 but the other day a guy told me it was $30. Now if I can get it for $30 its a good deal. Plus it comes with an adapter for a digital camera. The tripod sucks but I can just stick the telescope on a better tripod. The telescope is pretty junky but it at least its aluminum. You could spend $80 on EDU Science Telescope which is made of plastic and wouldn't be as good.

The telescope does come with cheap Huygen Eyepieces a 20mm and 6mm. They are 1.25 eyepieces. I also know of an ebay seller that sells cheap eyepieces. If I did get the telescope I could get a MA 9mm or MA 17.5 or MA 25mm which would all be better than what comes with telescope. I wouldn't have to spend more than about $15 for each eyepiece so I wouldn't spending much more. These all being Meade eyepieces which should be good enough.

I don't expect much from telescope as I might only use it once awhile when some comet is around or there is something good going on with the planets.

I've seen them and been tempted to buy one because of their low price, but really don't have much need to spend my money on one. The MA EPs will be a decent match for a cheap scope. Hope it works out for you.

Another way to go is fork out about $200 and get a 6 inch Dobsonian, easy to search for on web. They are pretty light weight, you can point them around easy without motor, and will give good results on moon, Jupiter, Saturn's rings, and some other obvious objects. For comets, a $100 binocular is probably better. I always use the 6 inch and have seen everything I wanted to.
