Who else is watching the Moon / Star occultation right now?
I'm in Vancouver; Lat 49.3 N, 123.1 W. The star should go behind the moon about 7:10.
To accurately time this on my cell phone, should I coordinate the time with atomic clock time? Can I get atomic clock time through my computer?
Isn't the computer clock automatically coordinated with Windows time which is coordinted with UT1 time?
Here we go!!!!!

I'd like to compare my timing with what you calculated I would get...
Can you give me the exact time of immersion for my location? Vancouver's coordinates that I gave you was only an approximation and not where my house is.
My exact location is 49 deg 15 min 58 sec North and 122 deg 56 min 45 sec West.
The star winked behind at 7:24:32 Pacific Standard Time. Does this correspond with what it should be?
I'm Pacific time...

There are a couple 7th mag stars, one on either side of 3rd mag epsilon, about the width of the full moon away, is that what you mean?

Right now the hellish 4 pm summer Sun is fortunately being occulted by my roof.
