A funny 10-second YouTube video, suitable for children.

ETA: Not my choice of thread title -- this is the YouTube title.

that's what happens to most Japanese cars after about 10 years in MN.
European cars fare slightly better, and American cars tend to hold up the best.

Yeah. I wanted to put a different thread title, but that was the title on YouTube.

I had a new (at the time) 1980 Chevy LUV truck, a small Japanese truck, and I couldn't believe how fast it rusted while I was living in the midwest. I thought that maybe they towed it here -- behind the boat.

I don't have to worry about rust anymore -- just the paint burning off, the upholstery and dash board cracking, batteries self-destructing after three years, pack rats making nests on the engine block, . . .

Ah, but this new one has a government warranty, right? http://www.bautforum.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Gee, that car was so badly rusted that even the driver disintegrated! :shifty:

(BTW, to kind of tie this thread in with the other thread about Amazon's suggestions, it's interesting that the first entry under "Related Videos" for this is Robert Palmer's "I Didn't Mean to Turn You On". Where's the relationship there?)

Well, that was a much needed giggle. :)

There's a few things that I find disappointing in the video (don't want to specify here as to not spoil it), but overall it certainly achieves it's effect.

Like, where's the driver?
