Has anyone here used this telescope or no someone that has?

The telescope has some nice features including a built in CCD and it self aligns.

Thanks!

bunker...hi...

your post as it stands...looks like, on an edge of commercial promotion...
which is against BAUT house rules.

That is not your intention, is it? Please clarify.

To me it looks like he is simply asking about who's tried out a new telescope model. He didn't say anything that would be promotional. Meade is a large and well known telescope maker so it's not like one user linking to their official product page is malicious advertising.

To answer his question, no, I haven't used the ETX-LS myself yet, but I did take a brief look at one at NEAF. I've heard a few good things about ACF optics and I do like the concept of their alignment system. However, the scope hasn't been out long enough for a lot of people to have formed opinions about it. The features are totally new and personally I'd wait until they have been more refined before jumping into the "LightSwitch" bandwagon.

Hey guys....

no offense meant, at all, at all, bunker..., Siguy and y'all

Looks a fine piece of equipment bunker....
Wonder about its portability (Public-transport-wise. Using an earlier version of an ETX, is a cinch for me (and baby))..
