Hi,
I'm looking for a finder bracket that will screw directly to my C8. The C8 came with a 25mm finderscope which is crap.

similar to this

http://www.scopesnskies.com/prod/antares/finder/metal-bracket/reticule.html

I bought a 8x50 finderscope with a dovetail bracket. and to assemble it to fit my C8 I bought a universal mounting plate that fits on the telescope via sticky tape. I also bought a dovetail mounting shoe that screws to it which the finderscope will mount on.
Trouble is it isn't sturdy or rigid enough because it flexes on the tape.

This is the mount

This is the mounting shoe

http://www.scopesnskies.com/prod/finder/universal-finder-mounting-shoe/quickrelease.html

and here is the universal plate

The universal base being held by sticky tape is rubbish. What I want is a bracket that will screw into the existing holes in the scope that originally held the ring mount for the smaller finder.will take a dovetail mount.
Or maybe a bracket with scope rings that will fit directly.

I was thinking this may be Ok but cant see how it fits to the scope and dont want to drill any holes

Is there one specifically for the C8

Any ideas

sorry for being a pain

The one made by Celestron for the C8 doesn't work with your particular 50mm finder?

I'd think any good Celestron dealer could help your out.
