I just bought my first telescope. It’s the Celestron Astromaster 130EQ MD. I’d like some help with the CG-3 equatorial mount because I have the following problems:
-The R.A. Lock Knob don’t let the mount to turn 360 degrees cause the Declination circle disturb it.
-The motor drive disturbs the mount to turn to a great part of the sky.
-According the manual when the R.A. slow motion cable is used the screw on the flexible motor coupler should be loose other ways R.A. slow motion cable can’t move the mount. How can I find a target with the R.A. slow motion cable and then tight the screw on the flexible motor coupler which is NOT anymore in the right position over the flat portion of the R.A. shaft?
-Is it normal for the Declination slow motion cable to turn only for 20 degrees the mount?
Appreciations to anyone that can help.
