These are my favorite animals, just beautiful....:)

I've seen this lot before on TV. I was pretty amazed to see them socialize like lions. As far as I know, adult tigers are fiercely solitary in the wild.

Beautiful on those pics indeed, but I've heard far less positive stories about this tiger temple. Google is your friend.

WWF isn't pleased at all, and neither are a lot of other big organisations. And it's not for petting tigers but for other claims. Severe animal abuse, illegal trade, danger to tourists...

On first sight it looks beautiful, but the "other side of the story" (I can't verify it of course) makes it sound as if those street performing hyena (http://images.sub-studio.com/images/2008/0926hyena.jpg) in Nigeria have a better, or at least more honest life. (google "hyena & other men"). They're also treated roughly from time to time, but they don't end up in illegal trade.

I wonder how many monks' last words were, "Here, kitty, kitty, kitty ..."?

Just remember that a carnivorous pet, including cats and dogs, will stop seeing you as master and redefine you as food if you die at home and their food runs out before you're found.

I've been living with a NYC tigress for many years now. You always have to be careful.

That's OK; so will humans.

I never understood cats. They'd outperform Houdini to steal your dinner from the kitchen table, they'd be more efficient than a DeWalt powertool in opening your garbage bags, yet I've never had any of them get to the cat food in the box. Why? Even my chicken attacks the bag of corn. It can't pick through the bag so it gives up after a while, but still...
