Default Jodrel Bank wins award as Britain's greatest unsung landmark

As reported on the BBC

I visited it once as a school child would love to revisit, but do not see that happening any time soon.

I was there about three years ago when the BBC threw a star party to celebrate Mars' closest approach. I met Terry Pratchet, Patrick Moore (not that I'm name dropping!). The best part was that I got to move the huge radio dish live on TV stood next to the gorgeous Sophie Rayworth (BBC news presenter).

After all that we got a free barbecue and even better, a free bar before being put up in a hotel for the night. What a blindingly good evening!!!!!
