Default First light!

I finally got my new (to me) scope (Meade 440GEM 4in f/10 refractor) out under the stars!
Started with Rigel (might as well start with something easy). Took in the belt of Orion (Alnitak, Alnilam and Mintaka). Next down the sword to M42 (still as ethereally beautiful as ever) and the Trapezium! Over to Sirius (incredibly bright pinpoint of blue white light) and M41 (diamonds on black velvet). Scope is still out waiting for (calling) me. I just came in to post this and catch up on BAUT.
More later!

Dang! I didn't realize that you can't use smilies in the title. Maybe a mod will notice and remove it.

It's good to see you have your priorities in order. Now, get out there, you're burning daylight.
