Post Episode 40: American Astronomical Society Meeting, May 2007

Once again, Pamela does her duty as an astronomer and joins her colleagues at the American Astronomical Society's meeting, held in May, 2007 on Honolulu, Hawaii. With all that sand, surf and sun, how did anyone get any science done? Pamela tracked down the interesting stories, and brought them back so we could analyze them.

Thumbs up Habitable Zones

The part in the show about habitable zones is really cool.

Finally we get to explore conditions for all those sci-fi planets we have seen in movies.
And actually astronomy is discovering things no sci-fi writer had ever dreamt up
(who ever wrote about a tidally-locked waterworld around a dwarf star?)

You say there are guys earning their living coming up with all the possible scenarios? Tell us more!!

I want a show about habitable zones!!!!!
