i may have misheard this
but i seem to remember a podcast mentioning a study wherein...

a model of a distorted galaxy implied that the tidal distortion was entirely due to dark matter.

is this correct?
can you point me to the article, layman's explanation of the topic, or the podcast where this was mentioned?

thanks for the reply rob. my recollection is that pamela described a smaller scale interaction, something like the mice

but with only one visible galaxy. modeling implied that dark matter had caused the distortion. this was probably before episode 78 (that's the episode i'm up to)
