Default NASA announces site of "Great Dying" meteor crater

NASA will announce tomorrow (13th May) the discovery of site of an impact crater that is believed to be associated with the Permian extinction event 250 million years ago.

Dang it, why isn't this on NASA-TV right now? It says 2PM EDT, that's seven minutes ago, and they're showing some kind of panel discussion unrelated to this right now.

I thought that was the site up in British Columbia, Canada off the northern coast. Some UW scientists have been working up there for years.

No, looks like the crater is in Australia, with a diameter of 200 kilometers.

There seems to be a lot of scepticism too.

interesting. So if they're right, just how much oil IS 50 billion barrels? Aside from a lot I mean?
