Just looked at that site you suggested Melusine, and it claims 16 were discovered by Voyager 2 all up.

I dunno if he's coming back...so I'll ask my own question.

In what year was the Hubble Space Telescope launched into orbit around the Earth?

I'm not finding where it says 16. I clicked on the "Advanced" area, too. Where is it?

Look under the "moons" section. It has all the names of the discoverers.

ops: I was in the Missions and Saturn sections, doh. OK, so it's like the Price Is Right and I overbid by four. Darn. I wonder how many astronomers know all these moons by heart.

Can I ask a question anyway? Sort of fun easy one.

What are the exact names of four asteroids (minor planets) named after a famous musical group (you don't have to name the numbers)?

Of course you can ask a question....that's what this thread is all about. :P

Hmmm....I don't know that one, so I'm gonna have to cheat and look it up. :P

Well, I highlighted "exact" because the official names aren't John, Paul, George and Ringo...do you want to look it up?

There are so many asteroid names--two after some local guys who gave money to an observatory.

OK, they are 4147 Lennon, 4148 McCartney, 4149 Harrison, 4150 Starr.

(Clapton has one, too...there are thousands of names...Hemingway, Rembrandt, etc)

Mickal gets to ask, I gather.

Sure, whatever...this game doesn't seem to be following too much of a plot - we're just making up rules as we go I think. If he hasn't asked a question in about 15 to 20 minutes, it's probably OK for someone else to ask something.
