I've made a demo with which you can view the path of total solar eclipses with Google Maps.

If you can't see the path, try to zoom in or switch to Map view instead of Satellite view, and there may be something wrong if the current map view across the both side of longitude 0° or 180°. Google is trying to improve the service and fix the bugs.
