Default Aurora raging right now

If you are in the dark with clear skies go look even if you are at a lower latitude.

Darn thing started just around dawn here so I can't see it. Waaaah!

It first kicked in about 10.30 am here today. Been hoping this would hold out until darkness tonight - another 2 or 3 hours to go! One report I've seen so far was from Australia. Looking good!

Weather here is mixed, clear skys and squally showers so I'll be off out to find some dark sky later.

Well there were 2 CMEs in the outburst so let's hope the second wave is after dark.

Hey, thanks for the heads up. I'm going to be out observing tonight anyway - wouldn't that be a nice bonus.

Downside: it'll have to last another 8 hours...
